A number of Shepparton children went bananas for pyjamas recently to support a charity which supplies vital funds for Goulburn Valley Health.

Students and educators at the Arthur Dickmann Children’s Centre in Shepparton hopped out of bed and into their pyjamas in support of the Give Me 5 For Kids fundraiser, which each year raises funds for the children’s ward at GV Health.

The children and educators made their way to the Greater Shepparton City Council offices to donate the money raised for the initiative.

Facility educator Julie Goodwin said the kinder would raise funds for the charity in the next couple of weeks.

‘‘Today is a fun day. The children love wearing their pyjamas out of home, but it’s also an important day for educators to build those connections for the children to the wider community, and just the underlying reasons why we support these community events,’’ Ms Goodwin said.
