Wilmot Rd Primary School’s junior ambassadors to La Trobe University went behind the scenes at the Shepparton campus on Thursday.

Students Amina Lashkari and Stephen Atkinson were given a tour of the facilities, including the clinical nursing unit from nursing student Kate Mansfield, and met with the head of campus Sue Nalder, before recording their visit in the La Trobe One Button recording studio.

Stephen, who want to become a builder, was also given a tour of the nearby Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE trade unit.

Amina, who wants to study medicine, said it was exciting to be in a university for the first time.

The school and the university have partnered together to help build the future aspirations of the school students.

The two students took the knowledge they learned from the day back to classroom and lead activities.
