Bourchier St Primary School junior students had a fun adventure in Shepparton when they stayed the night in their classrooms on Thursday.
Year 1 teacher Amanda Brisbane said the students looked forward to the occasion all year and everyone had a ball.
‘‘The Prep students had dinner and a play at KidsTown, the Year 1s went to the all abilities playground and the Year 2 students stuck with tradition and went tenpin bowling before returning to school for a sausage sizzle,’’ she said.
‘‘For some of the children it is their first time sleeping away from home and an experience they always remember.’’
The students gain some independence skills and get to experience staying somewhere other than home, but in a familiar environment.
