The sound of small voices singing Jingle Bells rang out through the Kialla Children’s Centre yesterday.
Teacher Kim Turner said the childcare centre and kindergarten celebrated the end of the year with lots of fun and food.
‘‘We had a concert where children sang songs they had learned throughout the year,’’ she said.
A sea of Santa hats filled the centre as children enjoyed a picnic lunch with their families afterwards.
‘‘All the families came along with a plate from home,’’ Ms Turner said.
Ms Turner said they celebrated the Christian holiday of Christmas with a tree and nativity scene in the kindergarten classroom.
‘‘Some of our children are from different religious backgrounds though, so we do respect and welcome their celebrations throughout the year as well,’’ she said.
