Then & Now Guy set to wow Shepparton

April 10, 2018

The man, the myth the legend: Guy Sebastian is coming to Shepparton in just over two months time.

One of Australia’s most popular and successful male artists — Guy Sebsastian — is coming to Shepparton.

‘‘I’m pumped to get to Shepparton, it’s been a while,’’ he said.

For the first time in 2 years, Sebsastian will be taking his band on the road for his Then & Now regional tour.

‘‘I’m making this an organic vocal-focused tour. I want it to feel like an intimate show,’’ the 2003 Australian Idol winner said.

‘‘I want to make it feel like the songs are front and centre.’’

Sebastian said it had been a few years since he had done a regional tour and the last time he travelled across the country it was full of highlights.

‘‘I reckon it was one of my favourite times over the last 15 years,’’ he said.

‘‘I just had my baby and we had this mobile home thing, I did 57 shows around Australia, which was long. But there’s something about touring regionally — people are really appreciative.’’

Recent releases from Sebastian’s current album, Conscious, such as Bloodstone and Set In Stone, will be performed alongside songs that have shaped his illustrious career.

Fans will also be treated to a sneak peek of his highly anticipated new material, set to be released this year.

‘‘I’ve been writing every day, it’s been a while since I’ve done a tour like this,’’ Sebastian said.

‘‘I’ve been a bit of a hermit lately, literally had recording sessions here (in Los Angeles) every day.’’

While Sheppartonians will have to wait until the end of June to see him in action, Sebastian urged fans to get in quick before his show sold out.

‘‘It’s been 15 years, but the thing that hasn’t changed is my passion for music,’’ he said.

‘‘I love it more than I ever did... I’ve just lived a bit of life, had kids, had fun times, had sad times but I’m pretty lucky because I’m totally in love.’’

Guy Sebastian will perform at Eastbank, Shepparton, on Thursday, June 21, with tickets costing $86.90.
