An overview of an investigation into Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE is lacking in detail, according to a local state MP.
Victorian shadow Training Minister Steph Ryan said a summary report of an investigation into GOTAFE stopped short of identifying courses impacted and an explanation was needed regarding a number of concerns.
‘‘All eight months and two investigations have produced is recommendations for more reviews,’’ a statement from Ms Ryan’s office said yesterday.
GOTAFE’s former long-standing chief executive stepped down earlier this year.
After being quizzed by Member for Northern Victoria Wendy Lovell about an ‘‘operational matter’’ at GOTAFE in Parliament last week, Victorian Training Minister Gayle Tierney conceded the facility had gone through some ‘‘difficult periods’’.
She said a communication strategy was being rolled out to allow staff to see the findings of the report ‘‘and indeed a way forward’’.
This followed Ms Lovell asking about the review’s progress earlier in the week.
Ms Tierney at the time insisted the government had been proactive in ‘‘diving down and looking at what is triggering a number of issues’’.
