Weird and wacky hairstyles were all the go at Arthur Dickmann’s Children’s Centre yesterday.
General educator Caitlyn Seymour said the children’s centre had a number of fundraising events every year with proceeds designated to something different.
She said the Crazy Hair Day gold coin donation proceeds had been dedicated to purchasing new centre resources.
Ms Seymour said last year saw new books purchased for the centre.
‘‘This year we’re hoping to get some art and craft resources,’’ she said.
Ms Seymour said local business VAB Hairdressing was generous in donating an hour of its time to spray crazy colours in the children’s hair and support the event.
‘‘Some of the parents don’t have time in the morning, so it’s great to have the staff from VAB Hairdressing come along,’’ she said.
