A Shepparton man has been remanded in custody after an alleged aggravated burglary and robbery in town last week.

Shepparton police Detective Senior Constable Lance Wiltshire said police received reports of an aggravated burglary and robbery at a Shepparton address on the morning of February 13.

Det Sen Const Wiltshire said police allege the man, 28, entered a home at the address and stole some property belonging to the victim.

“There were two victims home at the time and a number of witnesses,” he said.

Police allege a few hours later the offender chased the victims around the Shepparton and Kialla areas in his vehicle.

No-one was injured during either of the incidents.

Det Sen Const Wiltshire confirmed the alleged offender was known to the victims.

The man was arrested by police on Tuesday and charged in relation to the alleged incidents.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
